Activision today formally announced the release of Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure wave three that includes Cynder, Double Trouble, and Slam Bam, the latter of which is a part of the Empire of Ice adventure pack.
These guys actually hit stores a couple weeks ago and have been extremely hard to locate, as have all Skylanders for that matter. Now that Activision has made their announcement, expect Skylanders to start arriving in stores like Tusken Raiders after their first sighting: in greater numbers. Online retailer Amazon.com has stocked them multiple times already.
Here are the new Skylanders, their official descriptions by Activision, a bevy of new high resolution images (click to enlarge), screenshots, and a couple character vignettes.
Cynder is a dragon of the undead element. Dark powers flow through her due to her difficult past, but she’s trying to make amends with the other Skylanders. Her Spectral Lightning and Shadow Dash attacks can later be upgraded to the more sinister Cynder Flight, Black Lightning and Shadow Reach attacks.”
Double Trouble, once an adept spellcaster, is from the magic element. His spells can be clumsy and misdirected, but he has plenty of ways to beat the baddies, including his Eldritch Beam and his exploding clones.”
Slam Bam comes with the Empire of Ice Adventure Pack and is of the water element. This yeti-abominable-snowman-looking guy has powerful Yeti Fists and Ice Prison attacks when bothered by bad guys.”
