EA and BioWare have released a new Mass Effect 3 trailer and handful of screenshots to coincide with Gamescom in Germany.
The trailer is first in a series of Mass Effect 3 gameplay feature reveals that will take place over an unspecified period of time. It’s called Squad Leader and focuses on Commander Shepard leading his team against a Cerberus assault.
As the trailer beings, Shepherd commands his team to go “behind the boxes,” an order that can be issued via either the controller or, for Kinect on Xbox 360 players, voice command. From then on it’s hard to tell what’s a command and what’s combat chatter and Shepherd and his team tackle foot soldier enemies followed by a giant mech.
Mass Effect 3 still lacks a release date, but you can currently pre-order the standard or collector’s edition on either Xbox 360, Playstation 3 or the PC at Amazon.com.
