Futuristic guns. Check. Futuristic vehicles and body armor check. Yawn, even.
But what about a gun that can change the terrain? That’s interesting in concept and downright insane in practice as we learned at E3 last month.
At the Leipzig Games Convention in Germany this week, LucasArts will be unveiling the multiplayer component for Fracture, a game we’re convinced is poised to be a sleeper hit this fall. Dramatically altering the terrain on the fly was a blast in single player when only we had the ability. Scores of players all raising and lowering the terrain simultaneously is almost impossible to imagine.
Check out this trio of new screens debuting today from Leipzig. Pay close attention to the last one featuring the Vortex grenade that creates a tornado capable of scooping up anything in its vicinity.
That’s what we’re talking about.
