This could turn out to be a big week for Rockstar and Grand Theft Auto 5 (Grand Theft Auto V) if the new screenshots and a simple sentence attached to them is any indication.
Rockstar this morning release a trio of GTA5 screenshots that focus on modes of transportation in the upcoming game. Featured are a bicycle headed toward the Santa Monica pier, a “Cheeta” sports car, and a military jet flying high above the urban landscape below.
Attached to the screens on Rockstar’s official website are a few simple words that will get the heart pumping, “More to come this week…” Typically when screens like these are released, they are part of something bigger, usually an all-new trailer. Rockstar could be releasing screenshot teasers each day leading up to a trailer reveal later in the week. I’m fairly confident that’s exactly what they’re doing.
Little is known about GTA5 at this time other than it will be set in Los Santos in the state of San Andreas, better known as the city of Los Angeles and much of Southern California. The sequel is expected to appear on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and the PC, but could also make a surprise appearance on Nintendo’s new Wii U.
