Last week the Crawleys invited peasants into their home and it turned out to not be the greatest idea. The Crawley women in particular weren’t in the know when it came to their own house’s history and that didn’t go over well with anyone.
The real drama came from the Dowager Countess letting Cora know she’s none-too-pleased with being ousted and replaced as the hospital president. While the Dowager Countess chose to do this in front of a bunch of peasants is anyone’s guess, but she felt the time was right regardless.
The official synopsis for Downton Abbey Season 6, Episode 7 reads as follows, “Mrs. Patmore has a grand opening, Mrs. Hughes has a plan, and Edith has a proposition. Robert receives a surprise gift, and racetrack drama stops Mary short.”
