Last week’s episode of Downton Abbey was one of those feelgood episodes complete with a wedding everyone has been waiting for and a surprise appearance fitting the final season of the immensely popular series. Finally the Carson and Hughes wedding arrived and it was delightful as it had every right to be. The wedding dominated Episode 3 and ended with Tom and Sybie popping up just after the toast during the reception. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for Tom to reconsider his place at Downton and make a comeback despite a somber letter he sent Mary.
With Anna pregnant again, Mary told her that she’s willing to take her to London after the first trimester is complete. This trip will happen in Episode 4 tonight and will hopefully occur without issue.
In the ongoing hospital saga, Violet is desperately trying to sway Robert in her favor. She even tries to convince Robert to keep their visit secret from Cora, Robert’s wife. Violet’s pushiness and scheming seems like it’s going to get her in trouble.
The official synopsis for Downton Abbey Season 6 Episode 4 reads, “Daisy continues to press her case, and Baxter has a new case to consider. Anna and Mary make an urgent trip to London, and two visitors from the past—one distant, one recent—arrive at Downton. Car talk is in the air.”
