Third Fear the Walking Dead Clip Hides Behind a Flu Shot; New Poster a Drag

The impending apocalypse isn’t much of a concern for Madison (Kim Dickens) in AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead pilot episode.

In an earlier clip, the guidance counselor  shrugs off a warning from one of her students claiming that there’s nothing to worry about because the authorities haven’t signaled a problem exists. For her next round of ignorance, Kim once again shows that some people are just too busy to worry about a strange viral outbreak.

This new clip titled “Flu Shot” features Kim being caught by a coworker as she’s walking down the hallway of her school. The coworker brings up the issue of several of their peers having fallen ill with the mysterious illness and kids that Kim might have been a victim of the bug. Kim’s rebuttal is that she’s taken the flu shot and everything is okay. If only she knew.

To compliment the “Flu Shot” clip is a new promo poster that abandons the concrete jungle of Los Angeles and hits the coast. The Santa Monica pier is in the background while footprints — with one foot straight and the other dragging — hug the shoreline into the distance.

As the poster says, “Fear Begins Here.”

AMC is still promoting an August premiere date for Fear the Walking Dead and later rather than earlier in the month is looking more likely. The exact Fear the Walking Dead premiere date is expected to be unveiled at Comic-Con in a few weeks during The Walking Dead Comic-Con panel.
