The Walking Dead Season 6 Premiere Synopsis Released by AMC

Only two episodes left of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead means that the Season 6 premiere of The Walking Dead will be upon us before you know it. Though we’ve enjoyed scattered scenes from the grand 90-minute premiere in the various trailers and TV spots, we haven’t seen the The Walking Dead Season 6 premiere synopsis — until now.

When The Walking Dead Season 5 came to a violent end, a bloodied Rick had just offed Pete with Deanna’s seal of approval as Daryl returned to Alexandria with a reborn and pacified Morgan. This all took place before a tribunal in which Rick was on the verge of being tossed out of Alexandria for his aggressive tendencies.

Promos tell us that Season 6 of The Walking Dead will pick up where Season 5 left off as Rick and Morgan reunite in a role reversal of their previous meeting two seasons before. There’s likely to be some tension between the two friends, but that could be the least of Alexandria’s problems.

Here’s the official The Walking Dead Season 6 premiere synopsis from AMC:

Rick and the group are still having trouble assimilating into Alexandria. Will a new threat bring them closer together or drive them further apart?

It’s easy to speculate that this new threat is the Wolves, a dangerous group roaming the area around Alexandria who mean ill will to other humans and use walkers as their tool of destruction. The threat could easily be something or someone else that leads into the Wolves later on.

We’ll find out when The Walking Dead Season 6 premiere on Sunday, October 11.
