A pair of DC animated series have popped up on HBO Max and should draw a lot of viewers with Zack Snyder’s Justice League just around the corner.
Now streaming on HBO Max are the 2004 The Batman animated series and 2000 Static Shock animated series.
The Batman (2004) ran for five seasons and featured the usual cache of Batman sidekicks and villains. The series starts three years after Bruce Wayne first puts on the cowl to fight crime in Gotham City.
Static Shock (2000) ran for four seasons totaling 52 episodes. Its hero, Virgil Hawkins, is an African-American who gains electromagnetic powers after being exposed to a mutagen gas.
