Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) officially joins the MCU in this holiday season’s Hawkeye, as seen in the first trailer that dropped this morning. That trailer certainly puts an emphasis on “holiday” with a Christmas jingle for the most wonderful time of the year.
Hawkeye will pick up where the character left off, eager to spend time with his family following a dark post-snap stint as the vigilante Ronin. That past catches up to Clint (Jeremy Renner) when someone else dons the Ronin attire and hits the streets.
The MCU has previously portrayed the character of Hawkeye as a gloomy guy who doesn’t always want to be a superhero. In Hawkeye, Renner as Clint gets to expand his repertoire by building a comedy dynamic with Bishop.
