It’s summer in Hawkins and the pools are crowded with kids on summer break. And apparently cougar moms as well judging by the first Stranger Things Season 3 clip released from the upcoming season.
Mrs. Wheeler and three of her fellow moms are deliberately positioned poolside waiting for the lifeguard shift change. They’re even counting down the seconds to the signal whistle.
Then, when the shift change begins, shirtless Billy comes strolling out and the moms unapologetically swoon over a guy half their age and barely legal.
Mrs. Wheeler in particular takes her flirting to the next level. No one saw this coming when Season 2 got underway and Billy was first introduced as a troublemaker with an uncontrollable temper and no regard for others.
The big question is will anything come from this obvious flirting between Billy and Mrs. Wheeler? We don’t know, but at least Billy appears to have a leash on his anger control issues and puts his newfound talent on display in front of the lusting ladies.
Stranger Things Season 3 is still queued up for a July 4th release exclusively on Netflix. New cast members include Maya Hawke as Steve’s Scoops Ahoy coworker, Robin; Cary Elwes as Mayor Kline, and Jake Busey as a Hawkins Post reporter in search of scoops.
The timing of this clip is perfect as it follows the Game of Thrones series finale last night and is only days after the LEGO Stranger Things set was revealed.
