Annabella Sciorra Joins Netflix’s ‘Luke Cage’ Season 2 as Villainess

The Sopranos and Jungle Fever alumnus Annabella Sciorra has joined Season 2 of Marvel and Netflix’s Luke Cage as a new character that will prove troublesome for Harlem’s bulletproof hero.

Sciorra will play Rosalie Carbone, described as “a dangerous downtown criminal underworld power player with an eye, and an agenda, toward Harlem.” She’s most certainly a villainess who will play a role in pushing Luke “to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain,” as the new season’s description reveals.

Returning for Season 2 of Luke Cage are Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Simone Missick (Misty Knight), Alfre Woodard (Mariah Dillard), and Theo Rossi (Hernan ‘Shades’ Alvarez). Don’t rule out any Marvel cameos as any character, such as Danny Rand or Jessica Jones, could theoretically pop up at any time.

Luke Cage Season 2 will span 13 episodes with each and every one of them dropping onto Netflix June 22nd.

Here’s the short Luke Cage Season 2 teaser trailer in case you missed it, followed by the full Season 2 description.

“In Marvel’s Luke Cage Season 2, after clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so well known has only increased the pressure he feels to protect the community.
