Right in San Francisco, Microsoft is allowing select game journalists a shot at playing some of this year’s hottest games coming to Xbox 360. Amongst them: Halo: Reach and Dead Rising 2.
Timed with X10 were some release date announcements you’ll want to make note of. And yes, for the first time in its five-year development cycle, Alan Wake has a date!
- April 13: Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction. Not much to add here other than more Splinter Cell.
- May 18: Lost Planet 2 and Alan Wake. Yep, coming on the same day and ready to eat up your Memorial Day weekend.
- August 31: Dead Rising 2. What a great way to kick off the fall gaming season. If it’s half as good as the original then it will be twice as good as many games already available. Also coming between now and then is Dead Rising: Case Zero, a DLC game to bridge the gap between 1 and 2.
- Holiday 2010: Fable 3. Still no firm date but this is confirmation that it *should* be in stores by Christmas. The bigger question is will it somehow interface with Project Natal?
I’ll pass along any additional screens or videos that come out of X10 as they materialize.
