Nintendo has launched a beta web browser version of the Wii U Miiverse as the first step of a bigger rollout that will extend into at least the end of this year.
By visiting the Miiverse website and logging in via a computer, laptop, mobile phone, tablet, or any device with an Internet browser, you can peruse your Activity Feed, check notifications and friends, as well as add responses to existing posts. It marks the first efforts by Nintendo to expand the Miiverse beyond the confines of the Wii U console.
You cannot, at this time, create new posts or draw pictures, nor can you create new users. Those features remains exclusive to the Wii U interface at this time.
Scribbling pictures to share via Miiverse is on the way as Nintendo has confirmed that the community will be accessible via 3DS later this year. It would seem natural for Nintendo to allow Miiverse members to draw pictures on their mobile phones, tablets and 3DS touch-screens.
