The sequel to Wii Sports (and no, Wii Play does not count) will paddle, shoot, and ski its way into stores this Sunday when Nintendo releases Wii Sports Resort.
As the name implies, each of the 12 all-new games packed in are inspired by activities you might partake in while visiting a resorts. The complete roster of games include archery, basketball, bowling, golf, table tennis, Swordplay, Air Sports, canoeing, cycling, Frisbee, Power Cruising and wakeboarding.
Setting itself apart from Wii Sports is the inclusion of the Wii MotionPlus accessory. If you own a Wii and haven’t tried this out yet on EA or 2K’s tennis games or EA’s Tiger Woods 10, then Wii Sports Resort is the perfect opportunity to give it a whirl.
MotionPlus offers true 1:1 movement tracking between the Wii Remote and on-screen character. For example, if you stink at Frisbee toss in real-life then you’ll see the same sort of result in the game.
Wii Sports Resort, packaged with one MotionPlus acceessory, is currently available to pre-order at Amazon.com for the discounted price of $46.99. You can secure a set for quick shipping by clicking here.
