The first Gamescom 2013 press conference will be held by Electronic Arts (EA) at 10am EST/7am PST this morning, and it will be live streamed over the Internet for free.
Already this morning, EA has announced that PopCap Games’ Peggle 2 will be an Xbox One exclusive and a launch title for Microsoft’s new console. The original Peggle came out in 2007 so it’s been a long wait for fans of it to get their first glimpse of the sequel during the press conference today.
EA will also bring their big next-gen shooter Titanfall to Gamescom with all-new footage and possibly some other features reveals. Titanfall is an Xbox One and PC exclusive, for now, and will deploy into stores next spring.
Another shooter EA will show off this morning is Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. Also from PopCap Games, this evolution of the popular franchise takes it to consoles, so look for some Xbox-exclusive features including SmartGlass and Kinect to be unveiled.
And last but not least, expect updates on EA’s upcoming roster of sports games, especially FIFA 14 considering Gamescom is an European event.
