It is a good time to be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan. Last week The Mirage Group announced a new live-action Turtles film with actual Turtle suits (as opposed to CGI) would be released in 2011. This news came as the franchise was celebrating its 25th anniversary.
Today Warner Home Video formally announced the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Film Collection will be released on Blu-ray Disc and DVD August 4 after releasing a teaser advertisement in February for the new set.
This four-disc Turtles collection will include all four feature films: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Turtles in Time, and the CGI-animated TMNT.
Collectible items packaged into the Blu-ray and DVD box sets will include a comic book, sketch with co-creator Peter Laird’s autograph, radical beanie hat, and 8 TMNT character cards.
The Blu-ray edition will span four BD-25 discs and retail for $84.99. Final packaging, full specs and Amazon pre-order will be passed long when available.
