Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced Walk Hard: the Dewey Cox Story, starring John C. Reilly as a non-fictional rocker parody, will be released April 8 on Blu-ray Disc. This is two weeks later than the March 25 date retailers began taking pre-orders for last month.
Walk Hard will span two discs and include the unrated version of the film which runs 120 minutes. The theatrical version was significantly shorter at 96 minutes.
Sony will present Walk Hard on Blu-ray in widescreen 2.4:1 1080p video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio.
