Screenshots have leaked for the now confirmed sequel to Viva Piñata, reportedly to be known as Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise and available on Xbox 360 before the year is out.
Viva Piñata was Microsoft’s answer to the casual gaming trend and, more specifically, Nintendo’s Animal Crossing series. A sequel utilizing the same engine was pretty much a no-brainer considering the surge in casual gaming.
Now that Nintendo has the Wii and motion control capabilities, it’s widely speculated Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise will make use of Microsoft’s yet-unveiled new Xbox 360/PC motion controller codenamed “Darwin” to once again go head-to-head with Nintendo.
Look for the official Viva Piñata 2 announcement any minute now, and with any luck, a controller announcement to go with it.
