Universal’s First Blu-ray Pre-Order ‘Doomsday’ is Up

Online retailer Amazon.com has added a pre-order listing for Universal’s Doomsday on Blu-ray Disc.

Doomsday marks the first-ever pre-order to appear for a Universal Blu-ray Disc title after the studio recently announced its opening Blu-ray line-up a couple weeks ago.

We were expecting The Mummy, The Mummy Returns and The Scorpion King to be the first Universal Blu-ray pre-orders to appear at Amazon. Those three titles will be released on July 22, a full week before Doomsday is the first new theatrical release on July 29.

Pre-order Doomsday on Blu-ray for $27.95 from Amazon.com.

Doomsday on Blu-ray will be presented in widescreen 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, the new direction Universal has chosen for high definition media to the delight of Blu-ray adopters everywhere.

Supplemental features will include a feature-length audio commentary with director Neil Marshall and cast members Sean Pertwee, Darren Morfitt, Rick Warden and Les Simpson; the Reaper Files; Tech Specs; and Picture-in-Picture video.
