Ubisoft dished out some additional information on the next Rayman game, “Rayman Raving Rabbids,” including announcing one of the next-gen consoles it will appear on is Nintendo’s Wii. It’s safe to assume at this point Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 will be graced by Rayman and the pesky raving rabbids he must battle.
In the game, Rayman will be able to take control of creatures including sharks, eagles, rhinos, spiders and angelfish and use their abilities against the demented bunnies. He’ll also be able to go incognito amongst the rabbids to learn and foil their plans.
Creator Michel Ancel adds, “After wrapping the development of Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie last year, the team here in Montpellier sat down to talk about having some fun with Rayman and his universe. We are running into a bit of a problem, though, because our game has been invaded by thousands of raving mad and vicious bunnies, who have apparently been preparing this assault since the very first Rayman game. We are now sending an SOS to all motivated gamers to help us get rid of them as fast as possible!”
We’ll have more on “Rayman Raving Rabbids” from E3 next week.
