Two New Pokemon Games in Addition to Pokemon Black and White 2

Two New Pokemon Games in Addition to Pokemon Black and White 2Pokemon was represented with two new bits of news during the Nintendo Direct broadcast event yesterday. First, a new AR game, in the style of Face Raiders, will be released called Pokemon AR Searcher. The game will put Pokemon in real world environments via the 3DS’ outer camera and the player can then try to catch them (of course).

The captured Pokemon can then be transferred to copies of this fall’s Pokemon Black and White 2. Pokemon AR Searcher will be released to Japan in June and will retail for 300 yen (about $3.00 USD).

Also coming soon is a new update to the popular (and free) Pokedex 3D. This version contains all of the previous Pokemon and not just the Pokes from Black and White. This update will increase the number of Pokemon for the 3D Pokedex to well over 600 and will include favs such a Pikachu and Charizard.

Because of the size of that kind of content, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced that this Pokedex will has a cost of about 1,500 yen (about $18.00 USD). The new Pokedex 3D will be released to Japan in July and to the rest of the world shortly after.
