While director Chris Weitz pieces together The Twilight Saga: New Moon in post production, director David Slade has begun shooting The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Eclipse sees Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner return to their starring roles with newcomers Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria, Catalina Sandino Moreno as Maria, Julia Jones as Leah, Jodelle Ferland as Bree, Xavier Samuel as Riley, Jack Huston as Royce King, and BooBoo Stewart as Seth joining the cast.
Other returning cast members hail from the Cullen family, Bella’s high school classmates, the Volturi vampire clan, and the Quileute Indians.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be released theatrically in North America on June 30, 2010. It should wrap filming before New Moon arrives in theaters which opens the possibility of a first Eclipse teaser trailer debuting in front of New Moon (watch the second New Moon trailer if you missed it).
