Summit Entertainment and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon have turned holidays into picture teases for the upcoming two-part supernatural series finale.
As I predicted would likely happen late last year, earlier today Summit Tweeted a new image from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 in celebration of Valentine’s Day. The image shows Isle Esme, the secluded tropical island where Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) will spend their Honeymoon and consumate their love for one another.
Specifically the overcast image shows orange lanterns lighting a path down a beach towards a small boat. Fog settles in over the water just beyond the shoreline where not a single soul can be seen. The shot is (deliberately?) more creepy and moody than romantic.
This image marks the third time Summit and Condon have released a new look at The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn on a holiday. The first reveal came on Thanksgiving Day via Bella’s outstretched hand on a bed clutching feathers and the second on Christmas Eve depicting the Swan home looking festive for the holidays.
Will the marketing department devise a clever tie-in for Memorial Day? I’d like to see what they can conjure up with for St. Patrick’s Day. Maybe get Taylor Lautner into the mix somehow since he’s been second string thus far.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn production has moved from Louisiana to Vancouver as shooting continues in preparation of Part 1’s November 18, 2011 release date.
