The second-to-last season 5 episode of True Blood will begin with the vampire hit squad taking aim at Marne’s stronghold with a rocket launcher and other choice weapons. With two hours of show left, the end game between vampires and witches won’t be that cut and dry. Though there could be a lot of cutting.
In this first clip from tonight new episode ‘Soul of Fire,’ Sam continues his interrogation of a Marcus-lead wolf in hopes of tracking down and killing the sociopath pack master. Alcide, in a final move to disassociate himself from his own kind, is helping out.
Lafayette witnesses Antonio exiting Marne’s body in the second clip and reacts as only Lafayette would. Antonio, previously thought to be the insane one, now questions her host whose vicious actions are going against Antonia’s master revenge plan against the vampires.
In the final clip, which is likely the opening scene from ‘Soul of Fire,’ Jason runs in front of the vampire hit squad and urges them not to blow up Marne’s place because Sookie is inside. When they complain, Jason lets some emotion out and stands up for her sister against beings that could tear him to shreds in seconds.
Just below the clips, I’ve included the recently revealed ‘Death’ trailer for the final two episodes of True Blood season 4, as well as the overall ‘Soul of Fire’ preview trailer. The ‘Death’ trailer naturally promises a high body count as the season comes to a close.
