Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay today promised his $200 million-ish budget sequel would run longer than the original. By a whopping four minutes.
He first chimed on his brand new Twitter account by remarking “news that you have been waiting for, The runtime will be just under 2 and 1/2 hours.”
Almost simultaneously, MTV Movies Blog posted up interview snippets in which Bay states, “It’s four minutes longer than the last one. So, go figure it out.”
The original runs 143 minutes. Add on four minutes and you’ve got 147 minutes or just under two and a half hours. No calculator was harmed during the completion of that mathematical calculation.
143+4 minutes of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will arrive on Imax and in theaters on June 24.
