The first indication of when Michael Bay’s Transformers 3 will begin principal photography appeared today in an article footnote at Deadline Hollywood.
According to the article which is about Shia LaBeouf signing with CAA, Transformers 3 will begin shooting in May, 2010. That date makes perfect sense considering Bay and co. have already pinned down a July 1, 2011 release date and began pre-production work back on October 1.
The only confirmed returning cast members at this point are Shia and Megan Fox. Other potential recurring characters in Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen played by Josh Duhammel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro could be announced within the next couple months.
