A trio of books have gone up for pre-order at Amazon.com whose names reveal the full title for Michael Bay’s Transformers 3 as Transformers: The Dark of the Moon.
The books are Transformers: The Dark of the Moon: Secret of the Autobots, Transformers: The Dark of the Moon: Autobots Betrayed! and Transformers: The Dark of the Moon: Invasion of the Decepticons. Each of those book titles gives off a vague plot point as well that likely identify each of the film’s three acts.
The film’s plot somehow ties into the space race of the 1960’s and, per filming occurring right now, has the Autobots visiting the Kennedy Space Center to reportedly rendezvous with the Shuttle Discovery. Rumors are swirling that the shuttle itself is a Transformer.
Paramount has since confirmed Transformers: The Dark of the Moon is the actual name for Transformers 3 and registered multiple domain names for the film last month. If the film’s marketing follows that of its predecessors, we won’t see the first teaser poster until sometime in January and the first footage until the Super Bowl.
