Yesterday was a big deal for Christopher Nolan watchers. First Warner Bros. finally announced Nolan’s Inception is coming to Blu-ray and DVD in December. Then to tie in with Inception, news broke that Nolan cast one of that film’s actors as a lead in Batman 3.
According to Deadline, Tom Hardy has become the first new cast member to join Nolan’s third and final film about the caped crusader. Odds are favorable that Hardy, who played Eames in Inception, will portray a villain in the film. Right now there’s no definitive word on what character he’s latched onto.
Batman 3 is expected to begin production early next year for a July 2012 release.
