With Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist less than two weeks away from deployment onto Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC, Ubisoft is making sure prospective buyers know what to expect by delivering a 101 course video that walks through the ins and outs of the latest Sam Fisher-led operation.
Charlie Cole, the Tech Ops Specialist, narrates the 101 course that begins by introducing the team and the Strategic Mission Interface, or super computer that Fisher will be using from either mission control or while out in the field. Cole talks about the Engineers enemy that has a blacklist and will use it to launch a terrorist attack every seven days. They will stop if the U.S. brings their troops home.
To defeat the Engineers, Fisher and his team will crisscross the globe and go wherever leads to the Engineers whereabouts send them. Engaging and defeating the enemy will require a mix of stealth and full frontal assault gameplay, using a variety of guns, gadgets and lethal and non-lethal means including sleeping gas, tracking enemies through walls, and a remote control tri-rotor flying craft to get into out-of-reach places. Cash earned from completing missions can be used to buy new weapons and upgrades.
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist supports both cooperative mission play as well as Spies vs. Mercs adversarial action.
