THQ is reporting that its new first-person shooter Homefront has sold through over 1 million total units for Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC since its release on March 15. The sales cover North America, Europe and Asia Pacific territories.
As Homefront sales continue to march upward, THQ continues to manufacture and ship out more inventory. To date, THQ has shipped approximately 2.4 million units of Homefront.
The retail of success of Homefront is thus far defying critical and player reactions to the game. As of today, Homefront is scoring a 71 out of 100 from critics at Metacritic and an even lower 6.2 out of 10 from players for the Xbox 360 version. The PC and PS3 versions are rated slightly lower.
