The Walking Dead Episode 210 ’18 Miles Out’ Promo Footage

The Walking Dead Episode 210 18 Miles Out Promo FootageThe Walking Dead featured a shootout at the town saloon last night in ‘Triggerfinger,’ but it’s the promise of another potential fight to come that could really change the dynamic of the show. There isn’t much screen time left for it to happen, either, with only four more episodes left to go in Season 2.

Several characters are changing right before our eyes, but none more than Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies). After haphazardly taking a car to go look for her husband and wrecking it after plowing into a Walker, Lori shows some brawn in disposing of two hungry Walkers who probably thought she was an early target for a late night snack. Season 1 Lori might have screamed her head off and not known what to do.

Continuing her evolution in this new messed up world, Lori warns Rick (Andrew Lincoln) that Shane (Jon Bernthal) is dangerous, loves her and Carl unconditionally, thinks they belong to him, and will do anything to keep them alive. Much like how Rick capped Tony and Dave in the bar to protect his family, Lori fears Shane will kill the living to protect who he thinks is his family.

Lori didn’t go as far as to tell Rick to kill Shane, but the seed has been planted. Rick is now faced with a “me or him” dilemma, but unlike the guys in the bar, this is a man who used to be his co-worker and best friend.

In this promo spot for the next episode ’18 Miles Out,’ it appears as if Rick and Shane will be out on some sort of mission by themselves. That’s a recipe for disaster in my opinion, and we could see a resolution to the Rick and Shane conflict in less than a week.

Poor Randall and his bum leg are still around, and the group is still divided on what to do with the guy who was trying to snipe Rick, Hershel (Scott Wilson) and Glenn (Steven Yeun) from a rooftop. Will Rick’s belief in maintaining humanity win out, or will Shane’s survival of the fittest at any cost mantra prove to be the right choice?

’18 Miles Out’ premieres this upcoming Sunday at 9/8 central on AMC. If you caught ‘Triggerfinger’ last night, check out this Inside the Episode video and be on the lookout for our comprehensive review of the episode.
