Images of The Twilight Saga: New Moon co-stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning as Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, respectively, have been a dime a dozen since production began on The Runaways in Los Angeles. Pictures of the other three young rockers, however, have proven elusive.
These new snapshots taken during a Runaways on-location shoot show all five girls in costume either rehearsing or shooting a scene on and around a 70s Chevy. In addition to Kristen and Dakota we get our first look at Scout Taylor-Compton as Lita Ford, Alia Shawkat as fictional Robin (since Micki Steele’s name cannot be used), and Stella Meave as Sandy West.
The Runaways is a biopic of the young girl band led by Joan Jett. It is expected to follow the group from conception through to its end which spawned the successful solo career for Jett. The real Joan Jett is on board to executive produce and help the girls nail their roles.
Look for The Runaways to kick it in theaters sometime in 2010.
