Original article (October 29, 2012): Lionsgate’s The Possession was a surprise summer horror hit, and now the freaky film about a young girl who becomes possessed by a nasty spirit is set to make its Blu-ray and DVD debut on January 15.
The Possession has a strong horror pedigree behind it with Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert and J.R. Young serving as producers. The film stars Dean Morgan, Kyra Sedgwick, and young Natasha Calis, and is directed by Ole Bornedal (Nightwatch).
Lionsgate is bringing The Possession to Blu-ray in 2.4:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Bonus features include an audio commentary with director Ole Bornedal, a second commentary with writers Juliet Snowden and Stiles White, and ‘The Real History of the Dibbuk Box’ featurette.
