Bethesda Softworks has dished up an all-new gameplay trailer for The Evil Within, the original new horror IP from Shinji Mikami and Tango Gameworks, to coincide with PAX East.
The survival horror game looks to give Resident Evil a run for its money and take the genre to the next level of nasty. Each new reveal showcases more grisly monsters and beasties that Detective Sebastian Castellanos will have to avoid or defeat to escape alive, with each more sadistic than the next.
One of the monsters in the game has a giant chest or box for a head. This is an homage to Pyramid Head from the Silent Hill games? It very well could be.
The Evil Within comes to PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and the PC on August 26.
