Bethesda Softworks made me smile this afternoon by sending over an email announcing, detailing, and providing images of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Collector’s Edition game for Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC.
What makes this “extremely limited” (Bethesda’s words, not mine) collector’s edition set and worthy of the title? For starters, there’s an amazing statue of Alduin, the World Eater perched atop a dragon wall. It is sculpted by IP Factory, modeled from in-game digital files, made from high quality PVC, and stands a foot tall.
The package will also include ‘The Art of Skyrim’ book with over 200 pages of The Elder Scrolls V inspirational art. Everything from creatures to weapons to characters and environments is covered in the 9 3/8″ x 12 1/8″ coffee table book.
Last but not least is ‘The Making of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’ documentary DVD that goes behind-the-scenes on making the game. Unfortunately we don’t know how run it longs at this time.
