The complete exclusive clip for GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra has aired during the MTV Movie Awards and has already hit the web.
In the clip, Sienna Miller as The Baroness and Storm Shadow storm an office building and launch “nanomites” at the Eiffel Tower, toppling it. In hot pursuit are Channing Tatum as Duke and Marlon Wayans as Rip Cord dressed in their futuristic Accelerator Suits that give them superhuman abilities.
I’m trying to be open to Steven Sommers’ GI Joe universe but those suits rub me the wrong way. Nothing about them is reminiscent of GI Joe of old and the Joes jumping and flying around in them look more like X-Men in action than the military.
