Online retailer Amazon.com has lowered the price of The Dark Knight Trilogy Blu-ray pre-order by $8. As a result, interest in the box set that includes Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises has shown a noticeable increase.
Before The Dark Knight Trilogy price drop to $29.96, The Dark Knight Rises Blu-ray and DVD combo was battling with Ridley Scott’s Prometheus for the top position on Amazon’s hourly updated Blu-ray bestsellers chart. With the price drop in effect, The Dark Knight Rises has dropped down to position 5 and The Dark Knight Trilogy has shot up to position 3 – right behind the Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D versions of Prometheus.
Amazon typically sells its titles for around 30 percent off the manufacturer list price. The Dark Knight Trilogy on Blu-ray at $29.96 is 43 percent off the $52.99 list price. It is definitely a good deal for those few of you out there who don’t already own Batman Begins and The Dark Knight on Blu-ray. Even if you do it’s a cool set to upgrade to.
