The Dark Knight Rises may be getting a huge publicity boost if a new report regarding the film’s first teaser trailer and one-sheet theatrical movie poster is proven true.
According to SuperHeroHype, a “trustworthy source” has informed them that Warner Bros. will attach the first teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 beginning this Friday. In addition, the film’s first poster will start appearing in theaters around the same time.
The source went on to claim The Dark Knight Rises trailer runs 1:33, more than half the length of a full trailer. It will appear on 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D screens.
The source did not offer any indication of what the trailer might be comprised of. The Dark Knight Rises hasn’t been filming for that long, so one would assume Warner Bros. and Christopher Nolan would cobble together some imagery that relates to the film but is not necessarily footage from the film. A minute-and-a-half is a lot of time to cover so it will be interesting to see – if this is true – what exactly fills up that time other than 20 seconds worth of logos preceding the trailer.
The Dark Knight Rises arrives in theaters on July 20, 2012 and stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway,Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard.
