During the course of The Dark Knight movie, Batman’s Tumbler Batmobile was destroyed leaving Christian Bale with his superhero’s bike as the only ride to get around. He’ll clearly need some new wheels and maybe more in The Dark Knight Rises, and the first hints of what those rides might be have arrived.
According to a long and trusted scooper at Batman on Film, Batman will indeed get a new Batmobile in The Dark Knight rises. This person didn’t share if it would be a tweaked Tumbler or something altogether new but you figure there cannot be a Batman movie without a Batmobile.
The scooper also suggests a second new ride for Batman that won’t necessarily require wheels. They claim there is a “possibility” of some sort of aerial bat vehicle appearing in The Dark Knight Rises. Seeing as how Nolan has already thoroughly tackled land with the Batmobile and Bat Bike, sea and air are virgin territories for the caped crusader to travel upon.
With Christopher Nolan gearing up to shoot The Dark Knight Rises in just a couple months, we can expect to start seeing some visual leaks of the new vehicles that will appear in the film. Both the Batmobile and Bat Bike were out in the open for photography during production and there’s little reason to believe the new Batmobile and whatever else Nolan and company have planned won’t be as well.
