Marvel has released The Avengers trailer this morning that offers up a new look at next summer’s huge comic book film.
The Avengers trailer gives us our first good look at the film including many of the explosions filmed in Cleveland and New York over the summer. You’ll get to see how some of the superheros interact with one another (not without a hitch), Thor and Iron Man flying together, Nick Fury with a rocket launcher (man’s got no powers so he brings his own firepower), Black Widow doing her neutralizing acrobatics, Thor attacking Captain America (possibly just after his arrival), several shots of the Quinjet, Loki in action and, in the closing frames, a first quick glimpse at The Hulk.
What you don’t see are the alien invaders Loki summons, though you can see their laser/blasts and the effects it has on New York.
The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, Mark Ruffalo, and Scarlett Johansson. They assemble in theaters on May 4, 2012.
