Entertainment Tonight ran a brief piece from their The Avengers set visit earlier this evening as a lead-in to tomorrow’s big new trailer reveal. Some footage snippets that trailer appear in the piece, as well as a couple behind-the-scenes moments and Thor calling his new people friends “petty” as they are assembled for the first time.
What we learn from the ET set visit is that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) will spend much of the film trying to make Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) turn into The Hulk. I expect many funny lines to come out of Stark’s mouth as he tries with all his might to antagonize the former scientist into a green rage.
The Avengers trailer snippets don’t show Loki’s army, but do show the team assembled as well as some aerial shots of what will be the final big battle over Manhattan. Early descriptions of The Avengers trailer claim that we’ll get our best look at Loki’s new aggressive friends yet.
Also earlier today, Disney and Marvel released the newest The Avengers one-sheet theatrical movie poster. The artists have deliberately un-masked all the heroes so you can tell who the actors are, name Captain America and Iron Man.
The Avengers stars the ensemble of Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson and Tom Hiddleston. It all goes down on May 4.
