The arrival of Tarsem Singh’s stylish The Immortals later this year has taken on a completely different meaning to moviegoers than when the film was first announced and began production. All eyes have shifted to the film’s star, Henry Cavill, since he was cast to play Clark Kent in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman reboot project, Man of Steel.
This first full-length trailer for The Immortals gives us a good look at Cavill in action as Theseus, a stonemason who sets out to avenge his mother’s death and finds a greater destiny awaits. He’ll get a lot of slow-motion action in The Immortals, especially once he gets his hands on the invincible Bow of Epirus that shoots glowing arrows and never seems to miss its target.
The Immortals also stars Stephen Dorff, Isabel Lucas, Freida Pinto, Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz, John Hurt, and Mickey Rourke as the villainous King Hyperion. It arrives in theaters on November 11, 2011 (11-11-11).
