Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the 2008 Sundance Grand Jury Winner Frozen River, written and directed by Courtney Hunt, will make its way onto Blu-ray Disc appropriately in the middle of winter: February 10.
The film deals with a pair of women who team up to illegally transport immigrants from Canada to the U.S. in the trunk of a car across the frozen St. Lawrence River, and what happens when their frequent trips are discovered by authorities.
Sony will present Frozen River on Blu-ray in its original widescreen 1.78:1 1080p aspect ratio and 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio.
A lone bonus feature consists of a feature-length audio commentary with director Courtney Hunt and producer Heather Rae.
Sony has set a retail price for Frozen River on Blu-ray at $29.96. You can secure a copy now at Amazon.com for $25.99 by clicking here.
