Rumors have been suggested a May 2011 timeframe for the release of Spider-Man 4 based on comments made by supporting actors.
In conjunction with shifting their Marvel movie release schedule around, Marvel has co-announced with Sony that Spider-Man 4 is cleared to soar the friendly New York skies on May 6, 2011. Turns out the Spidey Senses out there were dead-on with the rumored time frame.
The release date puts Spider-Man 4 in theaters a little more than a month ahead of Thor which is a little more than a month ahead of The First Avenger: Captain America. Three straight months of new big-budget comic book hero films?
