Millions of eyeballs will be plastered on Sony’s Gamescom 2013 Press Conference in hopes that the PlayStation 4 release date will finally be unveiled, and the event will be live streamed over the Internet for free. The start time for the press conference is 1pm EST/10am PST.
There will be other goodies making an appearance, too, including at least one new PS4 game announcement. Ultimately the PS4 release date is what everyone wants to know the most, which means if Sony is sharing it today, they will likely wait until the end to reveal it.
Aside from the PS4 release date, Sony will be looking to share a little more information about their PS4 first-party exclusive launch titles, namely Killzone: Shadow Fall and Knack. With Microsoft releasing the Xbox One launch games list earlier today, expect Sony to do the same.
Look for Ubisoft to have a big presence during the PS4 portion of the event with Assassin’s Creed 4 and Watch Dogs getting some new gameplay revealed.
While PS4 will be the focus, don’t think PS Vita and PS3 will be left out. There’s anticipation for one or more big PS Vita announcements, and Beyond: Two Souls for PS3 will get a final push before its upcoming release.
