2K Games has announced Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution is now available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo DS, marking the first release of a Civilization game designed specifically for next-gen consoles.
Sid Meier and Firaxis Games have taken advantage of Xbox Live and the Playstation Network to allow players to play Civilization against opponents online on each respective console. Online will also allow players to download multiplayer maps and scenarios, as well as check in weekly for a Game of the Week feature providing new challenges.
Civilization’s appearance on consoles opens up the series to a new pool of players who will find an intuitive tutorial to help them along the way.
