SEGA’s ‘Virtua Tennis 3’ Players, Features & New Screenshots

SEGA has announced a host of features and tennis stars set to appear in ‘Virtua Tennis 3,’ due next Spring for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

The men’s side will feature the names and likenesses of four time Wimbledon Champion Roger Federer, as well as Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Tim Henman, Lleyton Hewitt, David Nalbandian, Sebastien Grosjean, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Tommy Haas, James Blake, Mario Ancic, Gael Monfils, and Taylor Dent making his first appearance in the ‘Virtua Tennis’ series.

The women’s roster is slimmer and includes World number one ranked and 2006 Wimbledon Champion Amelie Mauresmo, Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams, Martina Hingis, Nicole Vaidisova, Lindsay Davenport, and Daniela Hantuchova.

‘Virtua Tennis 3’ will, for the time in the series, include the ability to customize multi-set games of up to five sets. In addition, the World Tour Mode has been beefed up with a more robust create-a-player tool and more statistical categories, 10 new mini-games in addition to 2 classic ones, and a new Court Games mode that fuses mini-games with an as-of-yet announced twist.
