SEGA announces Virtua Tennis for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3

Lookout “Table Tennis” and “Top Spin 2.” SEGA hopes to corner the graphically-enhanced pong market by bringing their powerhouse tennis franchise to both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 with the first ina string of expected game announcements from SEGA in the days leading up to E3.

“Virtua Tennis 3” promises photo-realistic graphics, advanced player animations and advanced A.I. to capture the essence of a players movements and momentum when chasing after a ball. Career mode returns with all the bells and whistles from previous versions and a revamped create-a-player option with more player customizations than ever before. Mini-games will also make a triumphant comeback with some familiar returns and all-new challenges.


“Virtua Tennis 3” should hit stores sometime in Spring 2007. Look for the next SEGA Road to E3 2006 game announcement within the next 24 hours.
