SEGA finally broke a decently lengthy silence regarding their Aliens license by announcing a new game, Aliens vs Predator, is currently in development for an early 2010 release.
Aliens vs Predator is being worked on by the same studio, Rebellion, that created the original 1999 version of the game. No additional details about this new title were offered with the announcement.
SEGA did go on to state that due to this title, their other Aliens games in development (Colonial Marines and something TBD) have had their “release updated.” What does that mean? We’re not quite sure to be honest, but a best guess would mean they’ve been delayed until 2010 as well.
SEGA promises more information on Aliens vs Predator “very soon.” Lets hope they shed some light on Colonial Marines the same time.
